One of these just doesn't belong!

Hola! I'm back after not posting for around 3 months! My life has been busier than ever. Well here is a brief update of what I have been doing lately:

1. Babysitting. I have been babysitting a ton and making quite a bit of money.
2. Volleyball. Today is our tournoment! Volleyball went by way way to fast. This was my first year and I improved quite a bit, but I'm still not very good at it.
3. Piano. I had a really good lesson on Thursday! Now that school is out, I actually have time to practice
4. Flute. I am doing ok with flute. I don't know if I have mentioned this before, but I am going to public school next year. So I auditioned for the band and got put in the last band. :( But only four other freshmen flutes places higher than me, so I guess that is pretty good. I am looking forward to band!
5. Math...Even though I am out of school, I am not done with math. I still have 10 more lessons that I REALLY don't feel like doing.
6. End of year stuff. Since everything is coming to a close, there has been a bunch of end of year stuff going takes time.

Here are some firsts:
1. I applied for my first real job at Baskin Robbins. They never called me back, so I am guessing I didn't get the job. It was interesting to apply though
2. I went to my first "dance". It was a homeschool formal. A bunch of homeschoolers and also people from my school attended. It turned out to be around 150 people, and we had a blast! It was also fun to get all dressed up. :P
3. First Ipod!!! With all my babysitting, I finally came up with enough money to buy an ipod. Yesterday I ordered a brand new 8gb ipod touch. I have never had an ipod or mp3 before so I am really excited.
4.First time to be called Mam or Miss. :D :D

You are probably wondering about the picture. Today was Old Navy's 1$ flip flop sale, and as you can see, I bought 10 pairs! It was soooooooo crowded in the store though. The line was literally at the back of the store. But I think it was well worth it.

Doodling in class!

Hey Guys!
I still exist over here, just really busy. I ran across this neat article about doodling, so check it out!

I always like to doodle in class while I'm taking notes and stuff. Oh and also, I love to write in different colors each time I take notes. So now I have proof that it is helping me learn! Teachers sometimes seem to get irritated when you doodle...

I have really wanted to make a post for a long time and I have had quite a few ideas for interesting posts, but I forgot all of them! :( Oh well... Hope to post again soon!

***I also wanted to let you know that I didn't go to Australia...I guess I need to make it more clear when I am joking.***

I'm back from Australia!!

Hey guys!!

I am back from being in Australia for six weeks! I'm sorry I didn't tell you that I was going to be gone... It was amazing and I even got to pet a kangaroo. It was awesome. Except for that my brother was swimming and saw a shark! It started chasing him up the beach and it was crazy! I got a picture too! I will be posting them later It was the best experiance of my life........ahhhh...too bad we have to be back home.

No I'm joking. I wish. I have just been really busy with life in general. I have had alot of school and babysitting. Plus there is piano and flute. I will also admit that facebook has sort of replaced my blogging lately. But I'm planning to change that.  I have felt really guilty for not posting lately! I missed you guys!!!!! You guys will be getting a bombard of comments!

We went skiing last week and were gone for five days. It was so much fun!!! But my toes and fingers felt like they were going to feeze off. We have started to get better at skiing and went down at least half of the blue slopes this time. And we didn't have to take the cheezy ski lessons that we have had to take in the past! It was a great trip.

What else is new....? Oh!! I got a cell phone!! It is purple and it is my all time favorite thing that I have. It is the sony erricson z750a. I had to pay for it and I am super protective of it. It has been dropped nearly three times and even thrown at a wall. Some other random new things that have happened are that I got a purse that I actually like, tried blue nail polish for the first time, and learned how to greek dance. Overall life is going well! :D

Merry Christmas...a little late!

Merry Christmas! I hope you had a wonderful time. I had a really good Christmas although it was a little strange being home. Every year since I was a youngster we have gone to my grandparents in Louisiana for Christmas! This year all the families and my grandparents decided to get together at new years. So we were home but it was very fun and relaxing. Christmas day we went to church early in the morning. The streets were EMPTY!! We only saw a couple cars and the only place open was ihop. Later, our Grandparents and cousins came over for Christmas dinner cooked by my dad! My mom did the cleaning. It was fun! :) The night before, on Christmas eve we opened presents. I got a Carrie Underwood CD, blow dryer, candy, a brush, and nail polish. Plus a bunch of other things in my stocking! Everyone was really happy with what they got...especially my brothers. They each got a HUGE lego set. Overall it was a great Christmas!

I have finally finished my Vitamin Water collection!!! I got all 15 flavors and now they are lined up on my dresser! It took me a long time to find all of them! I have been looking for about 4 months. I finally found the last three at a store closing sale at circuit city while shopping for Christmas presents. I would have to say that my favorite flavor is the strawberry-kiwi one. I would take a picture of my collection to put on here, but it is really a pain to load pictures. So you get one from the Internet!

tales of a babysitter

I babysit all the time, so here are some stories from recent babysitting jobs. :)

One day I was babysitting a five year old and he asked me how old I was. I wanted to see how old he thought I was, so I made him guess. "8?" he asked. "Nope..just a little bit older.. Guess again!" I said.  Next he guessed that  I was 25. I told him that he was wrong and to keep guessing. Then he guessed that I was 81. "Do I look 81?!?" I asked. "Yep." he said very assuredly. Finally I told him I was 14. lol

This same day I took the 2 boys to the park. I left some lunch leftovers on the counter because I didn't know what to do with them. I decided to deal with it when we got back because they were very eager to leave! We had a good time and they had a fun time making and smashing castles. After about an hour I took them back home. We got back and I went to take care of the leftovers. As I walked into the kitchen I instantly noticed that they were gone! The plate was there but there was not a crumb left! I started freaking out!! What if someone had broken in and eaten the scrumptious leftovers?? but that didn't make any since. I started to search around the kitchen frantically! Finally it donned on me that the dogs had stolen it!! I felt really stupid. Moral of the story:don't leave out leftovers

One evening I was watching a three year old boy and his two older sisters. The girls were playing a interesting game on the computer where they designed dresses. You could pick a type of dress and fabric and stuff like that. Anyway, I was watching them for a couple minutes and telling them what I thought of the dresses they made. I glanced over at the 3 year old and he was hanging out by the Christmas tree...all good. So I kept watching the girls play their game. After a few minutes I went to check on the little boy. I found the little guy with scissors in hand and there were a bunch of ornaments on the ground..Uh oh.. He had cut just about 15 ornaments off of the tree while I was distracted, watching the girls!!! "_____ why did you do that?!?!" I asked. "I'm sorry" he said all innocently. I couldn't get mad at him because he was obviously very sorry. I had to tie the ribbons or find new ribbons for all 15 ornaments. Moral of the story:don't leave a three year old alone for even 2 minutes!

One day I was babysitting for this prayer group. Everything was going wonderful until a couple of the boys found some balls. Now mind you that the room I babysit in for this prayer group is right above where the moms pray. It is a two story house and the room is  like a large ledge type room on the second story. One of the boys got some crazy idea in his head. He grabbed a ball and threw it right down to where the moms were praying. I heard a couple of the ladies giggle and the little boy who threw the ball looked very proud. It was very embarrassing especially because some of the ladies made comments about it after they were done!

It's all about me!

I just realized that I used the word "I" (as in me) 20 times in my last post. And I have already used it 4 times in this post. I am (just did it again!)  going to try to not use that particular word in this post because it seems kind of self centered.

Starting now:
This evening we hosted a movie night at our house. It was for the movie "Sergeant York" that we have to watch for school.  We had fun even though not everyone showed up. Zorro is so nervous around guests! As soon as they walked in the door he darted up the stairs and stayed there the whole evening. Zuzu (the other cat)  sat with one of the boys that came over for pretty much the whole movie happily sleeping. :)

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, full of HW and babysitting.  It is extremely hard not using that word!! Can't think of anything to say without using it. Zorro can officially jump 4 feet into the air. (yes that was random) Has anyone heard of vitamin water? It is the best drink in the world! There is 15 flavors and it is sooooo good. 11 different flavors of bottles are lined up on my dresser. Have a good weekend!

I haven't posted for 2 weeks!!

Ok well lately I haven't had ANY extra time. Even with Thanksgiving break, I have felt very busy. I just realized that I haven't posted for two weeks! This weekend we went to Hot Springs, Arkansas for Thanksgiving. We had a great time! We got there on Thursday afternoon and then had Thanksgiving dinner. It was yummy of course. My favorite thing was the green been casserole and chocolate cake. ;) That evening we all just hung out with each other and got caught up. The next morning I actually got to sleep in until 10:00 (but I missed breakfast)! I haven't been able to sleep in for about 2 weeks so I was sooooo happy. My girl cousins and I "What Not to Wear" alot because it was on all day. Then we went shopping at the mall . I was looking for a purse but I could not find one that I liked. Does anyone know where to get a cute purse? When we got back to the condos, we did each other's hair all fancy. My hair is really thick so we ran out of time and only one side was curled! I had to put it up in a clip.

On Friday evening we had a chili cook off. Each family made some chili and we put each different chili in a bowl. Then we lined the bowls up and numbered them. Each person would get some spoons and go through to try a bite of each one. Then they would vote for their favorite one. It was fun! That night me and my cousins stayed up pretty late talking. Saturday was a very busy day. I got up late again and when I woke up everyone was leaving to go the "Hot Springs". Somehow they forgot me so I had to stay alone at the condos for a little while. I played basketball alone, watched a lame tv show and went on a walk. After lunch we went bowling together. We had teams which were boys vs. girls. It was really fun even though I am awful at bowling. The boys ended up beating us though. :( Later that afternoon we baked cookies. After dinner we played a game. I am not going to try to go into detail because it is to confusing, but it was fun! I had to say all of my goodbyes that evening because we had to leave at 5 am the next day.

It was really fun spending some time with my family, but it went so fast! The 5 am thing was NOT fun.

P.S. I would post pictures but I don't have the cord that conects the camara to my computer. :(
